There is a time for revolutionary leadership and rarely is it obvious. They were farmers, merchants, printers, plantation owners, lawyers, ministers, scientists, land speculators and doctors. They were bound together by a deep desire to make more of their circumstances. The battles were bloody and the methods of the Crown’s oppression ruthless. And here in the United States of America some 236 years later we celebrate the wisdom and the extraordinary leadership exhibited so bravely by this country’s founders.
